The layout was an "E" shaped 32' x 32' layout and had four separate loops (lines) consisting of three branch inner lines and one main line. 119 individual modules with participants from CT, NH, NY, NJ, OH, and MA all combined to form a layout with a 4.8 scale mile run around the Red Line.
Branch 1 inner line, as shown on the drawing, was DC powered for non DCC locomotives. All other loops were running DCC. Branch 2 had a promotion and clinic area at the end of the loop.
Kato and Woodland Scenics generously donated some great prizes for the T-TRAK module contests. Northeast T-TRAK also sponsored a continuous Make a Tree and Take a Tree clinic for the public with tree material donated by Woodland Scenics. In addition, there was a small T-TRAK layout at the Kato Show booth. T-TRAK participants were assigned 1-1/2 hours shifts at the Kato show booth to operate the T-TRAK layout while promoting T-TRAK. Kato USA also sponsored a free train set drawing for youngsters 16 and younger.
Overall view of the layout
This year, the National N-Scale Convention returns to the West, and we expect to have layout in all three major module formats at the convention.
If you want to bring a T-TRAK module to the convention, please follow the registration link for modules.https://www.ntrak.org/event-4958467 Once you are signed up, we will be updating you with information on the convention, convention hotel information and T-TRAK layout information.
Please take a moment to collect the information required for registration. If you are bringing multiple modules, you can either register multiple times, or attach a spreadsheet with the module information. That includes type of module, dimensions, placement requirements, power information, and anything else that can help with placing your module in the layout.
Clubs, please note that only one registration is required. The primary registrant information on the form should be for the club layout coordinator. A separate spreadsheet with module information can be uploaded to the registration form, along with other pertinent information. Please also upload a spreadsheet with information on club members who will be working the layout and bringing module. Use the form as a guide for the required information.
If you have any questions or want to bring a module that is not T-TRAK, contact layout@nrail.org.
