NMRA announced Chattanooga as the location for the 2026 NMRA Convention and National Train Show (July 27-August 2, 2026) This announcement represented a unique opportunity for our community! In support of the NMRA Community Group | National Model Railroad Association , We realized this was the perfect centralized location to bring T-TRAK Modular railroading to the Forefront!
The folks at the NMRA National Train Show, in conjunction with the National NMRA Convention in Chattanooga in 2026, gave The National T-TRAK Layout over 10,000 square feet of space in their main exhibit hall to break and set a New World Record for T-TRAK layouts!
The previous T-TRAK layout record holder was the National T-TRAK Layout at the NTS in Kansas City in 2018, which set a record for T-TRAK modules and scale mileage. Over 61 participants contributed 340 modules of all sizes (732 equivalent single modules), and the uninterrupted red line route totaled 28.4 scale miles.

The Chattanooga layout encompassed over 10,000 sq ft, consisted of 715 individual modules of various sizes, or 1,511 equivalent single modules!
Participants from 49 different states, plus the District of Columbia, and overseas, arrived in Chattanooga this past July 30th, 31st, August 1st, and 2nd to make this record-breaking layout a reality!

The first 50 Participant Operators who ran their trian around the ENTIRE Scenic City Route on the layout (over 93.47 N scale Miles taking over 2 hours at a scale speed of 45mph) received this Special
commemorative car!

A Special "Thank You"!
In addition to our list of sponsors below, we want to especially thank a group of young people who helped us tremendously Thursday morning with table setup.
A group of 12 young people, both sisters and elders, serving in the Tennessee Knoxville mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
They moved and set up the 220 8' banquet tables early on Thursday morning so we could start setting up and receiving participants in a timely fashion. Thank you so much for your service!
